In 2016, improvement on 70% low floor tram HVAC sample was made. Rail type Hitachi inverter was used for frequency control of compressor.
This inverter already applied on many programs, with 11kW power, frequency range from 30~90Hz.It can realize step less speed regulation for compressor. In the test, the cooling performance was good, temperature changed smoothly, it's therefore more comfortable. The energy consumption is also 10~15% lower than fix frequency units.
